In order to meet your campus dining needs, we’ve designed a variety of meal plans for the 2007-2008 academic year. If you need to purchase a meal plan or would like to make a change to the plan you’ve already selected, simply contact Residents Life Director Brian Bollinger at 316.295.5568.
First-time residential students are required to participate in one of the following plans:
| PLANS |
|
Meal Plan A – Contains nine (9) meals per week, plus $200 in cash declining balance
Meal Plan B – Contains eleven (11) meals per week, plus $100 in cash declining balance
|
Meal Plan C – Contains nineteen (19) meals carte’ blanche, with no cash declining balance
|
Upper-class students may choose from any of the meal plans above or must (at a minimum) participate in the following meal plan:
| PLANS |
|
Meal Plan D – Contains five (5) meals per week, with no cash declining balance

No matter which meal plan you have, Friends University also offers a snack bar that’s open every evening. In addition to being able to purchase snack bar items with cash, those with meal plans can also use a meal plan ticket for “combo meals” or a portion of the meal plan declining balance for food and drinks.
Having trouble selecting a meal plan?
More detailed information and assistance in selecting the best plan for you can be obtained by contacting Dr. Carole Obermeyer, V.P. Student Affairs at obermeyer@friends.edu.
Meal Cards
At Friends University, your convenience was kept in mind even as we planned our dining experience. As such, your university ID also doubles as the key to managing and charging your meals against your meal plans. So, any lost or stolen meal cards also means the loss of your student ID. For this, you’ll need to visit the Student Affairs office (located in the Casado Campus Center, lower level). They will be happy to terminate your old ID and reissue a new one so that your life on campus can continue without interruption.
If you’re interested in helping to shape the dining influence at Friends University, you may want to become a part of the Food Committee, which is an advisory board comprised of students, faculty, and staff who hold monthly meetings to discuss issues, concerns, and accomplishments that relate to the dining experience being offered. Then, the committee works in conjunction with Sodexo to make any adjustments, improvements, and appropriate recognition to occur.
